This phone is brilliant, awesome, one of the best I've ever seen an controlled in my life!!! I recommend this phone to anyone that is interested in a Sony Ericsson Walkman player as it is sooooo slim an sexy!! It looks so great as the colour combination of black an orange is fabulous!! It is one of the latest Sony Ericsson phones and I think it is a pretty awesome and catchy design. I can’t believe how a small and slim phone can combine the greatest things and applications ever such as messenger, games, 2MP camera with video, Internet access including Bebo and Facebook. I'm addicted to this phone as I well and truly see it as an amazing phone and trust me once you buy this phone you will realise how good it is. I have big fingers yet the small buttons do not interrupt me from using the keypads as it also has push up meaning that u don’t have to push down to much and is easy to text with. It also has a smooth and soft finish and I say the reception is clear and you can also download loads of songs on it helping you to listen to your favourite tracks on the go.
How great is that!!! This phone is a must buy!

Why are people saying that this phone is rubbish for music...its brilliant! And it does have a phone charm hook thingy. If you ask me it’s the best one that Sony Ericsson have made so far ... I love it... BUY ONE!!!

This phone may SEEM good, but I’ve a friend that has this phone, she actually admits that MY phone (W850i) is better than hers. The sound quality is pitiful and it's a WALKMAN! The more things you download...the SLOWER it responds! Now that's not quality. If you want to go for quality then W850i is the phone you want. It does/has everything a person would want...and more!

This phone is actually not as great as I thought!
Negative points - The reception is terrible- it flicks between full reception and no reception just by moving the phone slightly in your hand. The sound quality is awful - better sound could be heard from a 1980's beatbox submerged in a bath. The buttons are really fiddly especially if you have fingers larger than those of a 5-year-old child, but most importantly the software is slow and glitchy resulting in me having to turn the phone on and off to sort out half the problems.
Positives - It really is the slimmest and most comfortable phone I have ever had, it does cause the occasional panic when you think you have left it in the pub because you can't feel it in your pocket. Sony interface - very logical much better and more intuitive than other manufacturers on the market. Looks smart!

While I have had SE’s before and loved them I think this is a dreadful phone despite its easy to use menus etc. I have had a replacement and 2 repairs but it still switches off (you need to put some cardboard between the battery and the cover) the reception is very poor. I use the Walkman a lot but battery life is poor and the buttons difficult to use. Not recommended.

Average phone, great looks but I’m already on my fourth handset. Speaker is awful, and signal quality can be very poor at times. Software also gets slower and slower.
Lack of flash has ruined the phone experience as my last Walkman phone had one.
Slim, Stylish but could have been o-so much better than it is.

Is it just me or is the sound quality on this phone the worst you have ever heard? Thinking back to my first phones 10-15 years ago it has tin-like sound and is pathetic for a 'Walkman' phone. Looks good but sounds cack.

If you read a little way up you would know that there was a charm hook at the back at the bottom of the phone. I think it is really nice, perfect for people who travel lots and who LOVE music

Honestly, this is a terrible phone... its way too thin to be comfortable in your pocket as its quite wide and the corners tend to dig into your leg. The speaker on it is horrific and there is a tonne of what sounds like static whenever you play music on either the speakers or headphones. Also, this isn’t an isolated problem as I’ve used this phone about 4 times (all different ones) and its the same with all of them... older phones, such as the W810i which I myself have at the moment, have much better sound quality.

It’s a really nice phone. Very smart, easy to use. As usual one of best products from Sony Ericsson. Its a great phone and the slimmest and smartest I have seen! What more can I say than this!

Camera excellent - but phone becomes slower and slower as more added to it. Am now on my third handset now as I’m hoping the slowness is caused by a fault?! Very irritating when it doesn't respond.

Ignore other reviews, this phone DOES have a phone charm hook on the back at the bottom and is a fantastic phone, I have large fingers and can access the buttons just fine

Fabulous phone with the usual Sony Ericsson ease of use. Buttons quite small for larger fingers but the rasied bar on each key helps. One drawback - no phone charm hook!
