Samsung has expanded its Galaxy range to include the Galaxy Y. This budget smartphone comes replete with all the tech you'd associate with a top-end handset without breaking the bank. Running Android 2.3 and an 800MHz processor the Galaxy Y is quick and easy to work.

The 2.8-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen is extremely responsive, making navigation around media files and messages a simple task. Speaking of media, the Samsung Galaxy Y comes with a 2 megapixel camera, which not only captures decent images on the go but records video at 30fps also. There's a microSD slot for an additional memory card so there's no need to worry about storage space either.

The Samsung Galaxy Y comes with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, allowing you to peruse the web no matter where you may be. The usual connectivity options also make an appearance including Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

good enough this phone is good enough for what it does but it has a tendency to turn off in my pocket and i would definately recommend getting a stylus. but seems to be fine for me 14 December 2012

Bit small and poor battery life Bought this mainly for a cheap smartphone and for the free gift. The keypad is a bit small for adult male fingers. The worst aspect is the battery life. It does not seem to last long at all. But the phone itself is nice and responsive to use. Good range of android apps to download. 07 December 2012
