Good but not an iPhone The Samsung GS2 is a great phone for if you like the Android OS, its performance is very good and is one of the most stable android phones ive used. The phone is full of good features and has a good camera and the battery life is not too bad for a smartphone. 24 February 2012

Great phone, minor niggles The Samsung Galaxy S2 is my first touch screen smart phone, coming from an old Samsung G600. I must say I'm impressed by the Galaxy S2, it's light weight, fast, extremely slim and very tough (the gorilla glass screen is almost impossible to scratch). There are a few downsides, GPS isn't as reliable as I would've liked, it can take 10 seconds+ to find a connection, and it seems to struggle at finding a 3G connection anywhere. The one change I would make is the ability to uninstall Samsung software, I'm never going to use it so why do I have to keep it on my phone? Overall a great handset, that I would recommend to anyone. 23 February 2012

The Samsung Galaxy S2 comes with Gingerbread 2.3.x however now that Ice Cream Sandwich has been released as an update by Samsung you will be able to download it and install it on the phone if you so wish.

The Galaxy S2 will come supplied with Gingerbread 2.3.4 and as Ice Cream Sandwich has just been released for the Galaxy S2 you will be able to download it yourself.
