Hot on the heels of the chart busting G600, Samsung release the all new and improved G800. Boasting a whopping 5MP camera with 3X optical zoom, 2.4" screen, Xenon Flash and Face Detection, the G800 could be one of the greats amongst the 5MP elite. With HSDPA for super fast access download your favourite tracks and videos in not time at all. There’s plenty of storage - 160MB internal memory - and a microSD slot if you need more. Other features include an FM radio, RSS reader, document viewer, bluetooth printing and a whole lot more!

Ridiculously slow auto focus and image capture software make the G800 practically useless as a cameraphone. Unless you just plan to take pictures of buildings outside on sunny days (or want blurred snaps of something that happened 3 seconds after you pressed the shutter button) steer well clear.

I saw this phone on the Internet and fell in love with it instantly. When the phone was delivered I was slightly disappointed when I opened it, mainly due to the size of the phone, it does make quite a bulge in your pocket. Apart from that though the features on this phone are great. The camera quality on this phone is superior to any other available on the market at the moment. The one thing you will realise when you get this phone is the bling factor; it is far more sexier than the other 5MP phones out there. It seems very solid but I’m sure I will find out how solid it really is when it experiences its first accidental drop. I would recommend this phone but if you want something small and sleek, this is not the phone for you.

Had the G800 for about a week now and whilst it is generally ok to operate I would point out that the PC Studio 3 software that is supposed to be used to transfer Outlook contacts and meetings to your phone is a pile of junk as outlined in other forums on the net. So, as a camera phone for someone without multiple contacts it's ok but if your using it for business and want functionality to sync your contacts to Outlook...I suggest you look elsewhere...right I'm off to spend an hour updating my contacts manually and regret moving from my previous Windows Mobile supported device.

Got this the other day and so far I like it. Camera takes good pictures, flash not as good as I'd hoped though, but in good light the pictures are excellent. Optical zoom a nice touch, use it all the time and nice touch is can use while recording video. Video quality good too. Compared to my old Nokia 3250 I’m liking the change. Web browsing looks good, shame it can't do landscape though. PC software not as good as my Nokia software, can't seem to access my phonebook to send txt from computer which is a bit annoying but I don’t really use that anyway. It’s quite a big phone but it looks and feels sleek, the lens cover is cool! Black version will be even cooler. Battery life seems ok, although only got 3G going today so will see how that gets on. Not checked properly, certainly the side of the phone doesn't have a headphone socket, but I think you're forced to use the Samsung headphones which is a bit crap. Nicer than the Nokia N81 (too much rubber), (don’t like the N95) better than the G600 and cheaper than the iPhone. There’s the new LG Viewty which looks cool, but more features on the G800. Sony K850i meant to have good camera but looks horrible (those buttons) so I thought I'd get this. So far not disappointed!
