HTC Hero continues HTCs leadership in cutting-edge design that focuses on introducing a variety of distinct devices to represent your own individuality. Boasting bevelled edges and an angled bottom, the HTC Hero is contoured to fit comfortably in your hand and against your face while you're on a call. The HTC Hero is built to last beginning with an anti-fingerprint screen coating for improved smudge resistance and a longer lasting, clearer display. The white HTC Hero includes an industry-first, Teflon coating, resulting in an improved, durable white surface that is soft to the touch.
The HTC Hero is HTC's first phone to embody HTC Sense - an intuitive, seamless experience built upon three fundamental principles - 'make it mine', 'stay close', and 'discover the unexpected', that focuses on putting people at the centre by making their phones work in a more simple and natural way.
With its 3.2 inch HVGA display, the HTC Hero is optimized for Web, multimedia and other content while maintaining a small size and weight that fits comfortably in your hand. It also boasts a broad variety of hardware features including a GPS, digital compass, gravity-sensor, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera and expandable microSD memory. HTC Hero also includes a dedicated Search button that goes beyond basic search, providing you with a more natural, contextual search experience that enables you to search through Twitter, locate people in your contact list, find emails in your inbox or search in any other area in Hero.

This is a great phone. One of the most amazing things is HTC's Facebook app which links with your contacts on the phone. So when you go to your contact list you have their profile pic and any status updates they have made. If you are a FB user then you will love this phone. It also links with Gmail and gives push email for free.

Having had a Hero for about a week now I have to say that it is well worth getting. Forget about iPhones, they are so last year! The HTC Hero can do all the things an iPhone can do (maybe not quite so quickly) but it can do something fundamental that an iPhone cannot - multitask!
The widget based HTC Sense UI means you can customise the phone to do what you want, when you want. This is by far the best phone I have ever had, the bad memory of all those Nokia N-series phones (that promised so much and delivered so little) is beginning to fade.
Get this phone, it's hot and it's the best android phone to date. It's leading the way, not following.

HTC have taken a look at the Android platform and put a very nice graphic user interface over the top of it that makes android even better!
A very swish looking phone with a very nice looking UI to go with it. Make no mistake, this is the phone that could kill the iPhone.
All that is needed to kill the iPhone is for there to be more apps written for android. This phone may run slightly slower than an iPhone 3Gs, but as iPhone users have shown, it is not how fast or slow it goes, it's what it does and how it does it. The 'what it does' is up to you, the 'how it does it' has been nicely implemented by HTC.
