Dial-a-Phone review of Nokia 6300
Welcome to the Dial-a-Phone review of the Nokia 6300, which is one of our best selling mobile phones.
The Nokia 6300 has a classic design with a beautiful stainless steel finish. It is very slim, elegant, very easy to use, and follows Nokia's slogan to the letter of "simply beautiful, beautifully simple". This reflects that the phone is a good all round phone. Although it may not be a smart phone, it includes all the functionality that people want, without the complications of an all singing and dancing phone.
It is practically designed with a good-sized screen and a 5 way navigational button. It is very slim at just 11.7mm thick, so not too bulky in your pocket, but feels solid and substantial enough without it feeling too heavy.
The display is exceptional: a high resolution 240 x 320 pixel display with an amazing 16 million colours. On the outside, the Nokia 6300 ticks all the right boxes.
On the back, the phone is equipped with all the features that a typical user would expect. The camera is 2 mega pixels with an 8x digital zoom and with a video recording function. Memory for storing photos is limited with just 7.8 MB of user memory. However you can expand the memory to a maximum of 2Gb through the microSD card slot. The Nokia 6300 comes with a USB connection that can connect to any USB compatible device.
The phone comes with built-in music player, which provides a fun entertainment feature that allows the user to listen to their music whenever they desire. It also has a built-in FM radio complete with visual radio, which provides the user with music, chat show and news stations.
The Nokia 6300 comes with simple to use messaging services, which include instant messaging, audio messaging, multimedia messaging, text messaging and emails with attachments. The user can access their messaging services from the main menu and create messages with ease. The choice of messaging services will suit all users needs, which can be sent and received to any compatible message service contact. The multimedia messaging service provides the user with a message, which can contain text with video or photo and enhanced with sound, all in one easy to create message.
The built-in Bluetooth technology allows the user to wirelessly connect with other compatible Bluetooth devices, enabling you to send photos to another Bluetooth phone for free.
In conclusion the Nokia 6300 is a solid phone with a good camera and a long lasting battery life of up to 11 days standby time. It is light enough, at 91 grams, to be taken anywhere without noticing the weight. It is packed with all the features that a user will need without it being too over complicated.
