More HTC Leaks, This Time it’s the Desire Z

It’s getting difficult to keep up with the huge amount of HTC phones that are rumoured at the moment!  We know that HTC have a big event planned for September, where we’re hoping to see the first Windows Phone 7 devices, but will be getting an Android surprise too? If so, could it be this, the Desire Z previously known as the HTC Vision?  The leak appeared on a UK retailer’s website, but should still be treated as only a rumour, however the specs don’t look unrealistic: Powered by a 1Ghz processor. A 3.7″ touchscreen. A slide-out QWERTY keyboard. 3G, […]

The Return of the Sony Ericsson PSP Phone…Again!

The rumour to end all rumours, winner of our 2008 ‘Rumour that Won’t Die’ award and the runner-up in 2009 has now returned after its last appearance at Mobile World Congress in February. It was there that Sony Ericsson hinted that we would be hearing much more about a link-up between them and the PSP platform, along with plans to bring the PlayStation Network to their smartphones. Tech-blog Engadget has been speaking to some ‘trusted sources’ about just such a device and if what they’ve heard is 100% fact, we could be seeing the PSP Phone this year! Yes, yes, we know, […]

More Nokia C7 Rumours, Official Confirmation Soon?

It was at the beginning of June that the Nokia C7 was leaked, with its one blurry picture accompanied by a small helping of spec details; a list that was then expanded on at the end of the month. The following silence has now been broken by a tech magazine from Hong Kong, whose article on the forthcoming C7-00 has confirmed the rumoured specification and provided another image. So what can we expect from the C7? It is going to be another Symbian^3 phone, making it the second after the Nokia N8, and it will have an 8 megapixel camera with […]

Samsung Galaxy Q Specs Leaked, Not James Bond Related

Now pay attention, this is a leaked Samsung device and a new entry in the rapidly expanding Galaxy range of mobile phones. The Samsung Q’s specs have been discovered by a OO agent monitoring Samsung’s Download support documentation, and is a potential threat to other active devices including the BlackBerry Bold and the Nokia E72. Anyway, as you have probably guessed by now, the Q has a fixed QWERTY keyboard, making it rather unusual in the Android world! No picture exists, but you can see the specification below: 3G with HSDPA and HSUPA. Google Android v2.2. A 3″ Super AMOLED screen with […]

Will RIM Call Their Tablet the BlackPad?

No, we’re not being facetious, nor are we over simplifying it just because Apple named their tablet the iPad and HP/Palm are expected to use the name PalmPad. There is actually a degree of evidence here in that BlackBerry makers RIM have registered the blackpad.com domain name. The story was broken by MobileCrunch, who confirmed the tip by publishing the WHOIS details showing RIM as the owner of said website. The site is entirely blank at the moment, although we’re willing to bet RIM has seen plenty of traffic heading to it since yesterday! A tablet has been rumoured to be […]

Could the Samsung Galaxy S2 be a 2GHz Monster?

Here is a rumour which should be filed under the heading ‘juicy’, while cross-referencing it with ‘questionable’, as it deals with the features and spec of a potential follow-up to the excellent Samsung Galaxy S. If the 4″ Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz Snapdragon processor just don’t quite quench your thirst for big numbers, then you’ll like this one… Pocket-Lint grabbed the following specs from a Ukrainian site, who claimed the Galaxy S2 would have a 2GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, plus a microSD card slot for expanding this even further. The AMOLED screen size would increase to […]

Nokia C7 Details Leak Out, Looks Interesting!

Nokia now join Sony Ericsson on what has been a bit of a leaky week, with pictures and specification details on the Nokia C7 turning up on various phone blogs around the world. The Cseries, as Nokia explained a while back, covers their basic, everyday, core mobile phone range. However, as the model number rises, so does the spec and for what’s supposed to be the bread-and-butter range, the C7 is looking really good! Obviously none of this has been confirmed by Nokia and we have absolutely no idea when – or indeed if – we’ll see this phone on […]
