Mobile phone blog Loads of news, reviews, comments and stuff!

We covered the rumour LG planned to release their Viewty replacement in June earlier this month, to which LG responded by placing official details on their German blog, before hastily taking them down again. What this brief glimpse did do is provide some official photos, confirmation of the specification and all but finalise the projected release date.
The Viewty 2 will now be known as the LG Viewty Smart and as expected has a WVGA 3″ capacitive touchscreen, the S-Class UI, Dolby Mobile audio, 3G with HSDPA, DivX/XviD decoding and the 8 megapixel camera. We were under the impression the Viewty Smart would boast a xenon flash, however the blog post stated an LED flash, and there is no mention of the massive 32GB storage either. The handset dimensions were a welcome bonus, as the Viewty Smart will weigh only 90 grams and have a thickness of 12mm, making it very pocket friendly!
LG promised to have the release details back on the blog soon after taking them down, and at the time of writing, the page is still not updated. We have to wonder why it was removed, especially when every mobile blog on the Internet grabbed the details; was it simply a case of ‘too soon’, or are those missing features going to turn up when LG re-announce it?
