The Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of the best Android smartphones of 2014, and if you’re lucky enough to have gotten your hands on one you’ll no doubt want to make the most of all of its amazing features.
Thankfully, there is a great range of accessories on offer over at the Phones 4u accessories page, to compliment the Korean manufacturer’s new flagship. Here we take a look at some of the best…
S View Cover
The S5’s plastic build might not be to everyone’s taste, but the removable rear cover gives the phone one advantage over its competitors. Users can swap it out for Samsung’s S View flip cover, which adds extra screen protection without the bulk. There’s an S View window in the cover, which allows you to check notifications and answer calls on a customised screen. What’s really clever is that your phone instantly detects the colour of your cover and changes the display to match it.
Another advantage to having a removable rear cover is that if your S5 is running low on juice, you can easily swap the battery with a replacement. As well as cutting out the need for carrying round bulky charging accessories, it also means your phone is always powered up for when you need it the most.
Samsung Gear Fit
As well as being a personalised fitness manager, the Gear Fit also equips you with instant notifications to keep you constantly connected to your smartphone. The curved Super AMOLED touchscreen lets you control basic functions including rejecting calls with messages, quick reply to texts, and alarm controls. There’s also a range of interchangeable bands, so you’re bound to find one that suits your style.
Samsung Gear 2
The Gear 2 offers seamless integration with the S5 so you can make and receive calls and read more on the 1.63- inch sAMOLED display. There’s also a 2 megapixel camera and 300mAh battery on board, plus its dust and water resistant, so there’s no need to worry if you get caught in a storm.
KS Invader portable speaker
The middle of this intuitively designed speaker expands like an accordion to provide richer, fuller sound. The S5’s speakers, which are located on the rear of the phone, are good for general use, but are a far cry from the impressive quality kicked out by the Dual speakers on the HTC One (M8). However, once you throw the KS Invader into the mix, the sound will become much clearer and crisper.
