It’s the beginning of Nokia’s big week, where we’re expecting the company to announce a wide variety of new devices at a major event on Tuesday.
One is the Lumia 1320, codenamed the Nokia Batman, which we think is going to be slightly smaller than the big, 6-inch phablet potentially named the Lumia 1520. While we’ve heard little about the phone before, a leak over the weekend has given us a more extensive sneak peak.
Apparently, the AMOLED screen will measure 5-inches (around 13cm), which fits in with the number 13 in its name. It’s going to make use of Microsoft’s new version of Windows Phone 8, which adds support for 1080p screen resolution.
Also making use of the latest version of Windows Phone 8 is the processor, which could be Qualcomm’s popular Snapdragon 800, although the clock speed isn’t mentioned.
A big 20.7-megapixel camera is said to be fitted to the rear of the phone, which may also be a main feature of the Lumia 1520. The leak indicates the camera will be able to take pictures at either 16-megapixels or 5-megapixels, with a maximum of 18-megapixels possible in a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Other possible features include 4G LTE connectivity, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of memory, built-in wireless charging, and a choice of black or white colour schemes, which sounds quite subdued for Nokia.
Following Nokia’s event on 22 October, the Lumia 1320 may go on sale during the third week of November, with a SIM-free cost of $600 in America, which converts to £370. Will the Lumia 1320 be among the six products rumoured for Nokia’s launch event? We’ll find out very soon.
