Nokia’s forthcoming event is all set to bring us plenty of new devices to lust after, and one of the biggest could be the Lumia 2520, the name expected to be given to Nokia’s first tablet. Over the weekend, a pair of images leaked out through the @evleaks Twitter account.
While the pictures look to be standard press-style fare, and show just very large screens with a coloured surround, they do give us a few hints at things to come. First, we should expect a choice of four different colours from which to choose – black, red, white and cyan. Nokia has proven its love of bright colours through both the Lumia and Asha range, so it’s no surprise to see them do the same with their tablets.
Both a cyan and red version have been leaked, showing a Windows logo at the bottom centre (although it’s not clear if it’s a button or not), while above the screen is a forward-facing camera lens. Along the top of the shell are two buttons, which we’d expect to operate the volume and perhaps the device’s power. It’s all very similar to the last leaked image of the Lumia 2520, which came back in September.
As far as the tablet’s other specs are concerned, it should have a 10.1-inch screen, perhaps with a 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon processor, and Windows 8.1 RT as its operating system. Nokia’s event, which takes place on 22 October, may welcome up to six new devices, including the Lumia 1520, the Lumia 1320, and various accessories for the Lumia 2520 tablet.
