The photos correlate with the features and design shown in Sony’s teaser video, which was released earlier in the week.
The shots do however give more of an insight into the new device’s camera, detailing the 20.7 megapixel 1/2.3” sensor underneath the lens.
The crystal clear leaked images also showcase the slim handset and give a previously unseen, comprehensive look at what Sony has to offer with its new smartphone.
Previously codenamed the Sony Honami, the Xperia Z1 is set to be introduced at IFA 2013 and is rumoured to house a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
Alongside the 20.7 megapixel camera is an additional 2 megapixel front-facing lens, 16GB of internal storage and 4G LTE support.
Sony has certainly had a hard time keeping the refreshed version of its former flagship the Xperia Z under wraps, but the Z1 has clearly piqued the mobile world’s interest.
