Software Update Rolls Out for BlackBerry 10 Users

BB Z10 Multi Task

BlackBerry has released a software update for its new BlackBerry 10 platform, barely a month after the all-new OS launched.

The update, catchily titled 10.0.10.85, is roughly 150MB in size and can be downloaded to any BlackBerry Z10 handset, bringing a raft of improvements to the device.

BlackBerry says that the performance of third party apps will be improved, creating a smoother experience for the user. Along with this, the camera’s software has been adjusted to offer better low light performance.

Battery life has also had some attention from the Canadian firm’s engineers who claim that 60 improvements have been made to the operation of the Z10’s power cell which should see users getting even more time out of the device after one full charge.

The update can be accessed over-the-air by going into the device’s Settings menu and selecting Software Updates then Check for Updates before following the instructions that appear on screen.
