The Sony Yuga looks to be the next smartphone on the agenda for Japanese manufacturer Sony, and rumours suggest it will boast a hefty 128GB internal storage.
If speculation is anything to go by Sony is really pushing the boat out next year and the Yuga specs sound very impressive indeed.
Not only is the handset tipped to be the first completely water and dust resistant smartphone but reports also suggest it will employ a Samsung Exynos quad-core processor and feature a 5-inch 1080p display. A rear camera somewhere between 12 and 16 megapixels, 3GB of RAM and a whopping 3,000mAh battery are also tipped to make an appearance.
At present the most spacious smartphone storage option on the market is the Samsung Galaxy S III, which can be extended to 128GB via a microSD card, however, it seems the Yuga is keen to take on the popular flagship in terms of both spec and storage.
The new addition looks set to outshine Sony’s popular Xperia range of devices, but as always this is all just speculation at the moment, so only time will tell if it really is as exciting as it sounds. With a launch expected at CES 2013, there isn’t long to wait to see if the device can really be a contender.
