Sony could be lining-up a trio of Xperia devices for 2013, with the range set to be spearheaded by a new flagship codenamed the ‘Odin’.

Sony-centric site Xperia Blog has listed a series of model numbers for the leading handset, suggesting that the device could emerge in several iterations configured for different territories.

While no specs have been leaked, many commentators have speculated that any future Xperia flagship will be launched with Jelly Bean, the latest version of Google’s mobile platform.

However, further rumours give details of a mid-range device which could be released as a part of the trio, with the second handset featuring a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and an Adreno 200 GPU and running Ice Cream Sandwich.

The mid-range handset is also rumoured to feature a low-resolution, 480×320 pixel display, although no details of its size have been reported.

Further speculation from Android-focussed blog Android Authority suggests that Sony could also be planning another movie tie-in for an Xperia device.

The site points out that a character called Odin us set to feature in Thor: The Dark World, a film scheduled for release in November 2013, and since Sony’s recent Xperia T flagship is set to appear in the upcoming Bond film Skyfall a further movie collaboration may not be out of the question.
