With the launch of the new Lumia 920, Nokia now has a new flagship device with which to introduce the Windows Phone 8 platform. The handset has a host of innovative features including wireless charging and a very impressive looking camera with optical image stabilisation and PureView technology.
But how does the Lumia 920 stack up against its predecessor, the Lumia 900? We have put together a comparison table to take a look at the two Windows Phone big-hitters side by side and to see just how far the Lumia family has come since its initial launch.

Looking at the numbers it really does seem to be the case that the Lumia 920 offers a huge progression over the 900. While the camera and wireless charging capabilities are clearly the headline act, evolutionary features such as NFC connectivity and increased slimness are equally likely to win over new fans.
Of course, the all-new Windows Phone 8 platform is certainly going to be worthy of investigation, particularly when partnered with the full Nokia Navigation suite of apps. Windows Phone 7.5 was stunning to look at and use, but considering Joe Belfiore’s demo at the Lumia 920 launch, it might just be the case that WP8 can add real user-customisation into it’s the OS’s toolkit.
Although there has yet to be any confirmed details on a UK street date, we are hoping to get hold of a Lumia 920 soon in order to really find out whether the hype is justified. As soon as it lands in the Dialaphone office we will be sure to post a full, in-depth review, so keep checking back.
