Remember the Xperia Neo L? Sony announced it back in March, but at the time it was only going to be made available in China; which was a rotten tease, as it ran Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, something few other phones in its projected price range could match.
The good news is that Sony has decided to offer the Xperia Neo L outside of China, as it has appeared on the company’s global product page as “coming soon”.
Here’s a reminder if the Neo L slipped by you several months ago. In addition to Android Ice Cream Sandwich, it has a 4-inch touchscreen with an 854 x 480 pixel resolution, a 1GHz Scorpion processor with 512MB of RAM, plus a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash and can shoot 720p video too.
The design makes the Xperia Neo L standout , as it moves away from the monolithic, slab-like shape of many other Xperia phones, and adds some curves to the chassis and rear panel. It will come with either a black or white finish.
Other key features of the Neo L include Wi-Fi and DLNA connectivity, 1GB of internal memory backed up with a microSD card slot, GPS and a front-facing video call camera lens too.
With only a single-core processor and a standard LCD touchscreen, instead of Sony’s flashier Reality display panels, the Xperia Neo L should be competitively priced, however Sony has yet to confirm the figure. Sadly, it’s also the same story with the release date.
