The Korea Herald has claimed that the TV, the first unit to be part of Google TV 2.0, will be priced at $1,600 for the 47-inch version and $2,100 for the 55-inch version.
The Korean manufacturer unveiled the TV at CES in January but at that time no launch date was forthcoming. The set is notable for being the first 3D unit to be Google-branded and one of the first to feature glasses-free 3D.
Apple’s smart TV seems to have been the catalyst for the rush-launch from LG who, according to sources, are preparing to take on the Cupertino-based tech giant head on.
There has yet to be any announcements as to a UK launch for the TV.
