British mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has jumped the gun on the UK launch date of the Nokia Lumia 900, revealing that the much-anticipated handset will be available from June 2012, according to a report from GSM Arena. A “Coming Soon” page was published by Carphone Warehouse whereby details of the launch date and several key technical specifications were apparently divulged.
The Lumia 900 was revealed for the US market recently at the CES conference in Las Vegas, leaving critics suitably impressed. The handset features a 4.3-inch AMOLED display, 1.4GHz Scorpion processor, 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lense and a powerhouse 1830mAh battery. Understandably, speculation immediately began to grow as to when the device would make its way to Europe. It seems that Carphone Warehouse have now gone some way to answering that question.
With the Finnish mobile giant yet to comment on the rumour, we cannot unequivocally state that the handset will arrive on our shores in June, or indeed at any point in 2012. However, with Nokia making a return to MWC in February after a three year exile, it would seem safe to assume that we will not have to wait too long to find more concrete information on the Lumia 900.
