HTC Rider Steps Onto The Scene

HTC could be readying the GSM equivalent of the HTC EVO 3D if a blurry picture of a device called the HTC Rider is anything to go by.

The snap found its way onto Chinese HTC fan site, 911SnIpEr and was spotted by Pocketnow who noticed some similarities between the unannounced device and HTC’s debut 3D smartphone, noting that the speaker grill and webcam placement are the same on both handsets. Of course, this only gives us a rough indication that the two may be related in some way, but it makes sense for the Rider to be the GSM HTC EVO 3D as the manufacturer hasn’t announced if it’s heading to the UK.

However, Pocketnow also reckons that the sticker in the top corner may be covering a network brand and that the handset could be a US-bound device. As with the recently outed HTC Doubleshot , we expect to learn more about the Rider in the coming weeks.

  1. The HTC Desire was one of the most popular smart phones of the last year, so it’s no surprise that the company have released a new version – the HTC Desire HD. For your money you get a nice and big 4.3 inch screen, the HTC Sense UI (which adds a lot of features to the Android operating system) and a variety of other features.
