All has been quiet on the BlackBerry smartphone front lately, but RIM leak specialists BGR have got hold of a prototype of the unannounced BlackBerry Touch AKA Monaco.
As the name suggests, the Touch is set up to be a full touchscreen ‘Berry and reportedly comes with some of RIM’s latest mobile phone goods including OS 6.1, which is said to have been given a complete overhaul. The Touch also has an 800 x 480 pixel resolution display and doesn’t come with the manufacturer’s SurePress technology that featured on the Storm range.
Although BGR didn’t reveal any spec details in the leak, word is that the BlackBerry Touch, alongside other handsets currently sitting in the RIM section of the rumour mill like the Dakota and Torch 2, will be announced at BlackBerry World in May. We expect to find out plenty more about the Touch in the coming weeks.
