Armani-Suited Samsung Galaxy S Detailed Ahead of Release

First announced back in November last year, the Giorgio Armani Samsung Galaxy S is about to hit the shops, and details on the phone have now gone live on a dedicated, and very flash, Armani website.

As was to be expected, the GT-i9010 hasn’t changed dramatically in terms of specification, so buyers can still expect the 1Ghz Hummingbird processor, 4″ Super AMOLED touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, 3G with HSDPA/HSUPA, Wi-Fi and HD video recording features from the i9000.

But this being an Armani branded special edition, the changes are of a more visual nature. On the front of the handset you’ll find the Giorgio Armani branding above the screen, while the back panel has been swapped for an exclusive Armani patterned metal item. The spec also promises an Armani-designed UI – although we have yet to see exactly what that consists of – plus a collection of exclusive Armani wallpapers and a homescreen icon leading to GA.com.

Some of Android’s applications have been given an Armani theme too, from the ability to dress the Android robot up in an Armani suit via Facebook, along with access to Armani’s YouTube page and the company’s Twitter feed too.

The Giorgio Armani Samsung Galaxy S is out this weekend and is exclusive to Phones4U.
