The HTC Mozart name has been linked with Windows Phone 7 since early July and although we’ve seen some simple pictures of the device before, we hoped to see an official announcement made at HTC’s event last week. While this didn’t happen, our thirst for more Mozart information has been briefly quenched by the leak of a set of specifications for the phone.
It states that the Mozart will have a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor at its heart, with 576MB RAM and 512MB ROM, plus 8GB of internal storage. The display will be a 3.7″ Super LCD item with an 800 x 480 pixel WVGA resolution, while around the back of the device will be an 8 megapixel camera and a xenon flash. Of course, the Mozart will be a 3G phone with HSDPA and HSUPA.
This improves slightly on the previously rumoured spec, when a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash was hinted at. None of this is official yet, so these features should only be treated as possibilities, but there is nothing here that screams impossible. Could it be less than a month before all these rumours are put to rest once and for all?
