Yes, we know what you’re thinking, there is already a Nokia phone called the C3 and you’re right, it was announced back in June and is scheduled to launch soon, but this is another C3, with the name Touch and Type added on.
Again, you’ll probably remember the Touch and Type name from being attached to the Nokia X3-02; the very cool, super-thin phone with a touchscreen and a traditional alphanumeric keypad.
Put the two together and you’ve got the latest phone to be launched at Nokia World. The C3 Touch and Type recalls the gorgeous design and construction of the 6700 Classic, thanks to its 11mm slim, stainless steel chassis and simple but very stylish design. Here are the key features:
- 3G with HSPDA.
- A 5 megapixel camera with LED flash.
- A microSD card slot which will take cards up to 32GB.
The touchscreen is 2.4″ and it uses the proprietary S40 UI found in many entry-level Nokia phones, along with its X3-02 cousin. Users will have access to the Ovi Store, Facebook and Twitter integration, plus the latest Nokia Messaging 3.0 service.
Due for release in Q4 2010, the C3 Touch and Type has a price tag of €145, putting in a similar range to the X3-02, and it will be available in silver, grey and gold. We think Touch and Type range could prove popular and are keen to try it out, but which one would you go for? This, the cool C3, or the more modern-looking X3-02?
