So easy to use... When I first pulled my S3 out of the box I was a little intimidated by its size, but quickly got used to it and now find that smaller phones, for me, are a little harder to use than they once were. The phone itself looks sleek and is nicely slimlined - even though the back cover is plastic I prefer this since it can be easily replaced if damaged and makes the phone more lightweight. I haven't had a problem getting it into pockets, even if sometimes you can see a rather large rectangle shape when the phone is in one. In terms of what is offered on the phone - the android app market is fantastic and I've found that I can get everything on android that I could on the iPhone app store, and more. I can change the style, colour and text of my phone, choose and download the widgets I want to suit me and completely customise the entire thing, and incredibly easily. The drop down selection bar from the home screen makes certain fucntions incredibly quick and easy to use - such as turning wifi or mobile data on/off, setting sound, brightness etc. The camera has several functions and settings and takes absolutely stunning shots. One of my favourite functions is the panorama setting that lets you take a long shot - especially good for amazing scenery or trying to get everyone in the picture at a party! Picture quality on video playback is also fantastic, especially on a larger screen. The qwerty keyboard used for texting/internet use is great and easy to use. The predictive text is great and makes life so much easier when you need to go back and change a mistyped word. S-Voice (the samsung version of Siri) - is pretty similar to the iPhone version and does more or less the same things. Although I have found this function pretty hit and miss - you need to be in a VERY quiet environment to use it and take the time to learn what to say for each thing you want to do, and even then you can sound a little strange talking to it with your vowels over-pronounced so that S-Voice doesn't get it wrong. I've found that I don't use this feature except when I can't be bothered to find and open a program - it's great for setting alarms last minute. Overall, despite the size, which I've come to love, and the battery life, which can be dismal if you're constantly using all the features on the phone like wifi, video etc, I am extremely fond of this phone, more so than the the iPhone 5, since I can personalize it more and in general it just has more features. You can download features and widgets that you want, the app store is simple and easy to use. It has a great memory, video playback, camera functions and quality and will still fit in my pocket. Signal #I'm on Orange/EE is fantastic considering I live in N.Wales - I nearly always seem to have a full bar wherever I go. It just seems to have pretty much everything. 02 January 2013

As good as others say I upgraded to this phone from the Galaxy S. It is a definite improvement. Samsung have clearly put thought into improving the details of how the phone operates while still keeping the original features that made the Galaxy S a great phone. Other reviews I had seen suggested this phone was excellent. I agree with that assessment. Two points to note: 1. I was used to how the galaxy s operated so ease of use reflected my experience with that phone. 2. I have only had the phone a few weeks so reliability is based on limited experience to date. But I had no problems with the Galaxy S so I am assuming the same level of reliability with the S III. 30 December 2012

Excellent Phone Looked at iphones, HTC top of the range and also Samsung s3 - decided that the best value for money was S3. Love it - great phone, loads of easy to use features, very straightforward to get to grips with. First Samsung I have ever owned and this wont be my last. Last phone was an HTC Wildfire S which was a brilliant intro to smart phones. 28 December 2012

They was a manufacturing flaw on the original blue that they picked. So they recalled and have redesigned the blue that they are using. There is no technological differences between the two.

Are owners having problems with cases cracking?

I've found various forums with owners having white cases and silver edge trims cracking - most cracks seem to appear around the camera lens. With a phone being so popular you will always find some problems I guess.

Is anyone who purchased a phone in the past few weeks seeing the same issue? I'm trying to work out if this is something Samsung has addressed in recent batches?

I'd like to order one this week but slightly nervous due to the above.

Does the S3 connect to known wifi connections automatically like the iphone?
